Jessica Simpson's world was shattered after she confronted her husband. Now, she's channeling her pain into powerful music, sharing her journey from heartbreak to healing.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson recently opened up about a tumultuous period in her life that led to the end of her nearly 11-year marriage with Eric Johnson.

During a surprise performance at the Luck Reunion music festival in Spicewood, Texas, Simpson, 44, shared intimate details of how her intuition led her to ask "some very personal questions" which resulted in her world feeling "turned upside down."

"Like I said, I was out in Nashville and I had my heart wide open," Simpson told the audience. "I was in a very intuitive state and I had asked some very personal questions on the home front and I found out that my world had been turned upside down and that life was now very different," she continued, adding, "I'm a very single lady."

The devastating discovery has fueled Simpson's creative process, resulting in a deeply emotional upcoming EP titled "Nashville Canyon Part 1", set to release on March 21. Her new song "Leave" seemed to allude to her husband's infidelity as she laid bare her heartbreak and anger, with poignant lyrics.

In "Leave," Simpson sings, "What we had was magic / Now you made it tragic / Giving her what you gave to me / Now the well that you drank from's empty." The song continues with raw honesty, "Did you do to her what you did to me? / Was she on her knees? / Oh, she's everything but me."

Simpson explained to the audience how vulnerability can open wounds but also pave the way for healing, "You know, when we open our hearts, sometimes we're vulnerable and it just gets broken and maybe sometimes we forget that we've been broken for a really long time."

She believes that art has been her refuge, saying, "When we meet ourselves, when we write, when we sing, when we connect with ourselves, we find all the answers."

Simpson and Johnson's separation was publicly announced in January, with Simpson expressing the importance of prioritizing their three children: Maxwell, 12, Ace, 11, and Birdie, 5.

"Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage," she shared in a statement. "Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them."

As Simpson transitions into this new chapter of her life, she emerges stronger, using her music to tell her story. Her fans eagerly await the release of her new EP, which promises to be a raw and heartfelt reflection of her journey through love, pain, and renewal.
