Landing 41 weeks on the number one position, 'This One's For You' comes only several weeks behind Shania Twain's 'Come on Over' and Randy Travis' 'Always and Forever'.

AceShowbiz - Luke Combs has tied Garth Brooks for the third longest run at the top of America's country albums chart.

Combs' "This One's For You" has landed 41 weeks in the number one position, tying Brooks' "No Fences", which began its chart run in late 1990.

Only Shania Twain's "Come on Over" and Randy Travis' "Always & Forever" have spent longer at the top of the countdown.

Combs' debut has racked up 2.3 million equivalent album sales since its release in June, 2017.

He's already in the country music records books by becoming the first artist to hit the top of the Country Airplay chart with his first five singles - all from "This One's For You".

His latest chart feat comes in the same week Combs was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday night (July 16).

His hero, Vince Gill, was among the stars who welcomed him to the music institution.

Billboard Top Country Albums (July 20):

  1. "This One's For You" - Luke Combs

  3. "The Prequel (EP)" - Luke Combs
  4. "If I Know Me" - Morgan Wallen
