The CW Releases Fall 2019 Schedule, Trailers for New Shows Including 'Batwoman'

The new lineup sees 'Riverdale' spin-off 'Katy Keene' being held for midseason alongside new seasons for 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow', 'Roswell' and 'New Mexico' among others.

AceShowbiz - The CW has unveiled its lineup for upcoming 2019-2020 Fall TV season. The new schedule sees some series getting a new night as new shows, "Batwoman" and "Nancy Drew", will make their debut this fall.

The Monday nights open with "All American" which is getting a new 8 P.M. time slot. It is followed by "Black Lightning" at 9 P.M. Meanwhile, "Arrow" also has a few shiftman when it arrives for its eighth and final season. The Stephen Amell-starring show reunites with "The Flash" on Tuesday nights with the latter airing at 8 P.M. and "Arrow" following it up at 9 P.M.

Freshman series "Nancy Drew" is given the post-"Riverdale" time slot on Wednesday nights at 9 P.M. Meanwhile, "Riverdale" spin-off "Katy Keene" is held for midseason alongside new seasons for "DC's Legends of Tomorrow", "Roswell", "New Mexico", "The 100" and "In the Dark".

Also being moved to a new night this fall is "Charmed" which will air on Fridays at 8 P.M. With that, "Dynasty" is now taking over the Fridays 9 P.M. slot. As for new show "Batwoman", it is set to air ahead of "Supergirl" on Sundays.

In addition to revealing the new schedule, The CW releases trailers for its new three shows.

1. Batwoman



Set three years after Batman disappears, "Batwoman" follows Katy Kane (Ruby Rose) who is the new vigilante in Gotham. Kate returns home after being dishonorably discharged from military school only to find his father and his security firm being the target of the Alice in Wonderland gang. She has no option than continuing the legacy of her missing cousin, Bruce Wayne, as Batwoman.

"The Vampire Diaries" grad Caroline Dries serves as showrunner on the Warner Bros. TV-produced series with Geoff Johns executive producing. The series also stars Elizabeth Anweis, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Nicole Kang and Rachel Skarsten.

2. Nancy Drew



"Nancy Drew" centers on Nancy Drew (Kennedy McMann), a brilliant teenaged detective whose sense of self had come from solving mysteries in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine. However, her mother's passing derails Nancy’s college plans. She is determined to get back to college until she is name one of the prime suspects in a murder of a socialite. As she tries to clear her name, a supernatural presence begins to haunt Nancy’s investigation. That's how she discovers that the current crime has an astonishing connection to the unsolved murder of a local girl.

Noga Landau, Melinda Hsu Taylor, Schwartz and Savage write and exec produce the drama.

3. Katy Keene



"Katy Keene" is about the lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters -- fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), singer/songwriter Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), performer Jorge Lopez/Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp) and “It Girl” Pepper Smith (Julia Chan). It will see them, who have big dreams, trying to navigate young adult life in New York.The musical dramedy is said to be taking place a few years in the future from "Riverdale".

The "Riverdale" spin-off hails from Greg Berlanti and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Juulia Chan, Jonny Beauchamp, Camille Hyde, Lucien Laviscount, Zane Holtz and Katherine LaNasa round out the cast of the Warner Bros. TV drama.
