AceShowbiz - The Monday, May 13 episode of "The Voice" season 16 featured the eight remaining singers performing to earn a spot in the Top 4. They were given two chances to showcase their skills that night before some of them would be heading to the finale next week. In addition to their solo stages, the singers performed duets of The Beatles' classic songs.
Opening the performances that night was Andrew Sevener, who opted to sing "Long Haired Country Boy" by The Charlie Daniels Band. The performance earned him a standing ovation from his coach Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. Adam Levine dubbed it Andrew's best performance of the season.
Following it up was first The Beatles duet from Kim Cherry (Team Blake) and Shawn Sounds (Team John Legend). The two joined forces to offer a solid performance of "Eleanor Rigby". Later, Gyth Rigdon hit the stage to sing "God Bless the U.S.A.".
Kim Cherry then sang "Together Again" by Janet Jackson before Maelyn Jarmon (Team John) and Rod Stokes (Team Kelly), teamed up to sing "Yesterday" by The Beatles.
Carter Lloyd Horne, meanwhile, hoped his performance of "Take Me to Church" by Hozier would earn him a spot in the next round. It was a powerful performance, though Kelly noted that he was slightly pitchy. Fellow Team Kelly member Rod then sang "Go Rest High on That Mountain" by Vince Gill.
Gyth and Dexter Roberts, who were both from Team Blake, did a duet of "Hey Jude", adding a country twist in the performance. Next up was Maelyn, who opted for "Stay" by Rihanna" for her mind-blowing solo stage.
For the final The Beatles duet, Carter and Andrew sang an epic rendition of "Help". Dexter then amazed everyone with his performance of "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down. Rounding out the night was Shawn, who sang a powerful rendition of "A Song for You" by Donny Hathaway/Leon Russell.
The results of America's vote will be revealed in Tuesday, May 14 episode of "The Voice" season 16.
