AceShowbiz - Shania Twain has signed on to portray the mother of Christian music star Jeremy Camp in a new biopic.

The "That Don't Impress Me Much" hitmaker has been cast as Terry Camp, opposite Gary Sinise as the singer's father, Tom, and "Riverdale's KJ Apa as Grammy nominee Jeremy.

"I Still Believe" chronicles Jeremy's rise to stardom in the early 2000s, while struggling with his first wife Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp's cancer diagnosis - she died in 2001, less than four months after the couple wed.

Actress Brittany Robertson will play Melissa in the faith-based film, which is named after the first song Camp wrote following her passing.

Production is due to begin in Alabama later this month, ahead of a March, 2020 release.

Camp has since gone on to find love again with South African singer Adrienne Liesching, who he married in 2003. The couple shares three children.
