Days after making headlines for her bombshell revelation, the Spice Girls member assures in a new radio interview that she and Ginger Spice are still on speaking terms.

AceShowbiz - Mel B (Melanie Brown) has insisted she's still good friends with Spice Girls bandmate Geri Horner following her bombshell revelation that they once had sex.

The singer hit headlines over the weekend (March 23-24) when she revealed she had slept with Geri, who then went by the surname Geri Halliwell, during the height of their Spice Girls fame in an interview on Piers Morgan's "Life Stories".

Many media outlets reported that they had fallen out over the revelation and the upcoming Spice Girls reunion tour was in jeopardy, but in a new radio interview on Australian show "2Day" 104.1, the 43-year-old insisted they were fine and the tour was still going ahead.

"I was actually on the phone with Geri," she said. "I did the interview and I just text her, 'I admitted on Piers that we had a little bit of a thing, but don't worry about it, it was all tongue-in-cheek and I didn't go into detail. This was pre your husband, pre your baby, pre one of my babies, so don't worry.' We had a long conversation. Yeah, she text me the night of and I spoke to her at length today, among other things, as we're getting ready for tour."

Piers released a video clip of the taped interview on his TV show "Good Morning Britain" on Monday and it showed Mel being reluctant to spill the beans when asked about a sexual encounter with Geri. After being prodded, she said the girl group had "all slept in a bed together" but that it was "not like that", before smiling and nodding when he asked if it was "like that" with Geri, who she said was going to "hate me for this".

On the radio show, Mel said the press had got carried away because she never actually admitted to having sex with her bandmate.

"I didn't actually really admit anything. I just said we had a 'thing'. It wasn't a big deal," she continued. "It was just one thing that happened one night. I didn't go into detail about it at all it's the press that have taken it onto a whole other level. It was a little thing and we giggled about it the next day, that's that. It's not a big deal, especially not in this day and age."

The full interview is expected to air in the U.K. in April.
