AceShowbiz - The Chainsmokers returns to their signature lighthearted music after a fiery collaboration with NGHTMRE on "Save Yourself". After much of anticipation, the record producer duo released their Kelsea Ballerini collaboration "This Feeling" on Tuesday, September 18.
Featuring a country musician, the new song consists of some nice country-pop flavor. It finds Kelsea and Andrew Taggart trading lyrics about them having a hard time explaining the feeling that they have for a certain someone. "They tell me think with my head, not that thing in my chest," they sing. "But you're the one that I want, if that's really so wrong/ Then they don't know what this feeling is like."
"This Feeling" will be included on The Chainsmokers' upcoming album, "Sick Boy", which still doesn't a release date. Speaking with Zane Lowe of Beats 1, Kelsea called their song her "dream collab." She said, "I love that they write their stuff. They're songwriters, which I relate so much and respect a whole lot. I love their stuff."
"I'm such a fan of these guys as people, artists and songwriters," the songstress continued gushing over the duo. "I've covered a few of their songs on different tours and as far as collaborators, they've always been at the top of my list! I'm really excited for people to hear our worlds blend in 'This Feeling'."
Alex Pall, meanwhile, opened up about how the collaboration came to happen, sharing that the "Yeah Boy" singer immediately agreed to join the collaboration after hearing the song. "I feel like you look at her and you smile," he said. "She's such a happy person."
"This Feeling" is the latest crossover between pop and country music. Zedd and Maren Morris previously joined forces for "The Middle", while Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line's "Meant to Be" have topped charts for months and received a few awards.
