AceShowbiz - KJ Apa's Archie Andrews will face a new nemesis in season 3 of "Riverdale". Fans of the series will remember that the main protagonist was framed for murder by Mark Consuelos' Hiram Lodge in season 2 finale. As a result of that, Archie will have to deal with his new foe and town prosecutor Ms. Wright, who can be seen in a first photo obtained by Entertaiment Weekly.
The first photo sees "The Artist" star Penelope Ann Miller portraying Ms. Wright in a black suit and a blue-and-white stripped shirt. Her expression looks serious and she appears to be in a court room as there are some people sitting behind her in the background.

According to the official description of the character, Ms. Wright is described as "savvy and eloquent." With a conviction in mind, the town prosecutor will weave together disparate moments of Archie's young life to portray him as a dangerous, violent sociopath who is capable of committing a heinous crime.
It appears that Archie will spend some of his time in jail in season 3 as the trailer has hinted. There's also a mysterious evil cult ritual being conducted in The Town with Peep. The footage shows a brief glimpse of a tall black creature before the scene changes to show a couple of people, donning all-white ensembles, holding two babies up in the air.
During an interview with TVLine, Apa revealed that he was excited to see how Archie would survive in prison. "I'm excited to see how he handles himself in prison," Apa said. "I want him to get a whole lot of tats. I want him to join a gang. I want all that. Give it to me. I mean, you never know. Honestly, you never know."
Also starring Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Scott, Luke Perry and Madchen Amick, season 3 of "Riverdale" is set to premiere on October 10 on The CW.
