AceShowbiz - Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis recently had a mini "Harry Potter" reunion. The two British actors took to Instagram on Sunday, August 19 to share pictures from their meeting in Los Angeles. As if it's not enough to get fan nostalgic, they playfully reignited their on-screen rivalry.
As fans of the movies have known, Felton's character Draco Malfoy is Harry Potter's nemesis at Hogwarts, while Lewis' Neville Longbottom is one of Harry's loyal friends. While Neville shares the same house, Gryffindor, with the titular wizard, Draco is from house Slytherin. It's suffice to say that Felton and Lewis' characters never get along well.
And during their recent meeting, Felton apparently tried to recruit Lewis to join Slytherin. In a photo posted on his Instagram page, he held up a Slytherin backpack on Lewis' chest, while he put his other hand on Lewis' shoulder. Lewis looked away, seemingly trying to ignore the blonde actor. "See how close he was to converting.... @mattdavelewis #gryffindork," Felton captioned it.
Lewis shared a similar photo on his own page, but this time he looked at Felton with disdain. He declared his loyalty to Gryffindor as he turned down Felton's proposal, which was reflected in his caption, "Take your Slytherin paws off me, you damn dirty ape! @t22felton." Lewis also made a reference to Felton's role in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes".
Fans, of course, were excited with their mini reunion. "This picture gives my soul life," one Instagram user wrote. "I want to print this out and frame it," another commented. Someone also quipped, "Ohh man this may cause end of wizarding world."
This isn't the first time Felton and Lewis reunited after the wizard movie franchise ended with "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" in 2011. Back in April, the two looked friendly as they were joined by another co-star, Emma Watson, during their reunion.
"School mates #hogwartsalumni," Felton captioned their photo together.
