Besides complications related to overdose, the singer is allegedly suffering from extreme nausea and high fever.

AceShowbiz - Almost a week after Demi Lovato's apparent drug overdose, the singer is still under care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. TMZ was the first one to break the story, reporting that Demi is "very, very sick."

According to sources with firsthand knowledge, the "Cool for the Summer" songstress is suffering from extreme nausea and high fever. There are also "complications" related to overdose. Another source tells PEOPLE that Demi "wasn't doing well over the weekend," adding, "She is currently being treated for issues that are very common after a drug overdose."

While it's not known when she will be released from hospital, the source alleges that Demi "will need to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but is expected to make a full recovery." As of now, her family and friends are focused on getting her healthy. "She has her family and Wilmer [Wilmer Valderrama] with her and by her side every day. Everyone just wants to help get her to a healthy place," one other source adds.

It remains to be seen whether Demi will enter a rehab facility once she's released. However, her family is allegedly looking into rehab facilities in hopes of checking her in right away. They are also planning to "keep her away from those people in her life that don't support a clean and sober future."

As reported before, Demi was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious at a home in the Hollywood Hills. Her rep later confirmed in a statement that the singer "is awake and with her family." The cause of her overdose remains unknown, but a recent report suggested the singer used Meth before passing out.

Prior to her overdose, Demi was partying all night long to celebrate her backup dancer's, Dani Vitale, birthday. A video from the bash has been circulating online, showing the pop singer looking quiet as her friends went wild at the party.
