The 'Hotel Transylvania' voice star reportedly has reached out to her BFF's family members to 'share her love and prayers' after the ordeal.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez is also among those concerned about Demi Lovato after her reported drug overdose. "When Selena found out the news about Demi, she was very upset and emotional," a source tells E! News about how the "Good for You" songstress reacted to Demi's hospitalization.

The two stars became best friends during their days as Disney Channel stars, but they "haven't been close friends in a while now," the source says. However, the source notes that "they always shared a special bond and they still have love for one another."

Unlike other fellow celebrities like Joe Jonas, Lady GaGa and Ariana Grande, Selena has not taken to social media to send her support to her friend. The singer/actress, who recently turned 26, apparently chose to do it in private as the source adds, "Selena has reached out to Demi's family members to share her love and prayers, and she is really distraught about her health. She hates that Demi has been suffering."

Just hours after news about Demi's alleged drug overdose broke, Selena was spotted in Los Angeles. Wearing a green sweater with patchwork denim jeans, she looked worried as she talked to someone on the phone.

Meanwhile, Selena's mom Mandy Teefey has taken to Instagram to send her love to Demi. "The world is a better place because of these infectious smiles. My heart hurts," she wrote on Tuesday, July 24.

As reported before, Demi was found unconscious at a home in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday afternoon. She was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles. "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," her rep later said in a statement.

The rep also told fans not to trust every information spread by gossip sites and tabloids about the star's condition. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now," the rep stated.
