The trailer features Henry Deaver (Andre Holland) being called back to his hometown to investigate the sudden appearance of the prisoner (Bill Skarsgard).

AceShowbiz - Now that there are only a few days left before the premiere of Hulu's "Castle Rock", the network has unearthed a new teaser for the series. The trailer features a lot of references to Stephen King's famous stories, including "Cujo" and "It".

It opens with some officers asking questions to a mysterious prisoner (Bill Skarsgard), who pops up in Shawshank prison with no records. Henry Deaver (Andre Hollan) is eventually being called back to his hometown Maine to investigate the sudden appearance of this unnamed prisoner.

"Has it begun?" the prisoner sinisterly asks Deaver before the scene changes to show a series of chilling moments that is happening in the town. Among them are people jumping off bridges and a group of masked kids gathering in a dimlit room. "People say every inch of this town is stained with someone's sin," someone says in voiceover.

It also reveals the show's connection to 1983's movie "Cujo" as Deaver is seen reading a news article about rabid dog. There may also be a connection to "It" as a slew of colorful balloons is being shown on the screen. It's still unknown whether the unnamed prisoner is actually Pennywise, though.

The clip ends with the prisoner telling Deaver, "Do you hear it now? You have no idea what's happening here, do you?"

Hailing from King and J.J. Abrams, "Castle Rock" is a "psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse" that "combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King's best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland." Each season of the series will "follow different set of characters and storylines while interjecting themes and specific characters from previous seasons."

Also starring on the series are Melanie Lynskey as real estate agent Molly Strand, Sissy Spacek as Ruth Deaver, Scott Glenn as Alan Pangborn and Terry O'Quinn as Dale Lacy. "Castle Rock" will premiere on July 25 on Hulu.
