AceShowbiz - David Foster's daughters Erin Foster and Sara Foster have given their seal of approval to their father's engagement to Katharine McPhee. Being supportive to the couple's relationship, they left cheeky comments on their father's picture with his new fiancee.
The 68-year-old singer and composer took to Instagram to share his photo with Katharine from their vacation and captioned it with a ring emoji, confirming their engagement reports. Erin showed her love for David's bride-to-be by calling the "American Idol" alum "Mommmyyy."
Meanwhile, Sara, who starred on "90210" and "Barely Famous", wrote, "Out of the country. What did I miss?"
Erin and Sara, two of David's three daughters from his marriage to Rebecca Dyer, are known for their dry wit and humor. Erin is a comedy writer and performer, and starred alongside her sister Erin on comedy satire "Barely Famous". David has another daughter, Jordan Foster, with Rebecca.
David also has a 48-year-old daughter, Allison Jones Foster, whom he placed for adoption as a baby and reconnected with when she was 30. He and his first wife Tamre Winger also have one daughter together, Amy S. Foster.
A source told E! News that "David's children are all very accepting of Katherine now, and are very happy for their Dad."
Last year, Erin and Sara got coy when asked about their father's relationship with the 34-year-old singer/actress. "We love Katharine McPhee. We love our dad. We want our dad to be happy. We don't care who he dates...don't really care how old they are," Sara said. "We don't know if it's her."
Erin added, "Honestly, our friends in their twenties are trying to date him, so we're just proud of him for not doing that. He's like, 'I draw the line there.' I think thirties, forties is like a respectable age for a man in his sixties."
