Kathy Griffin is poised to return to the spotlight, nine months after sparking outrage for her infamous photos featuring fake severed head of President Donald Trump. During her appearance on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" on Friday night, March 9, the comedian announced that she would be having shows at New York City's Carnegie Hall and at Washington's Kennedy Center, which she dubbed as "Trump's backyard."

"I'm dipping my toes into touring again, even though the Trumps and nobody wants me to work again," Kathy revealed to host Bill Maher. "I just booked today. I'm going to do a show at Carnegie Hall in New York, and I'm also going to go right to Trump's backyard and do a show at the Kennedy Center."

While she didn't reveal the dates yet, Kathy took to her Twitter account to announce that the tickets for the Carnegie Hall show will be available for purchase this week. "Great news - I'm heading back to Carnegie Hall in New York! Tickets will be on sale next week. If you want the first crack at the best tickets, join my email list and you'll get a head start!" she wrote.

Kathy is also slowly returning to the small screen. She was slated to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on last Thursday. However, it was canceled due to "a scheduling conflict."

Kathy's upcoming shows mark her grand return after she found herself in scandal back in May 2017 for sharing a photo of fake bloody head of POTUS on her Twitter. Kathy later held a press conference when she tearfully revealed that following the controversy, she received death threats. According to her attorney, Lisa Bloom, she hired a lawyer after she was contacted by the Secret Service. "As a result of the first family bullying her, she has been vilified, getting death threats, fired from multiple jobs and had multiple events canceled," the attorney said.

Kathy said she was fearful for her life. "The threats that I am getting are ... detailed and they are specific. And today it's me, but tomorrow it might be you," she cried. "I don't think I'll have a career after this. I'm going to be honest, he broke me."

Due to the controversy, Kathy lost her hosting gig on CNN's New Year's Eve show with Anderson Cooper. She was replaced by Andy Cohen.
