AceShowbiz - It's an intense meeting between the king and the queen. A slew of photos taken from "Game of Thrones" season 8 set in Dubrovnik, Croatia made their way out online on Thursday, February 8, featuring Jon Snow (Kit Harington) meeting Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) in what looks like gripping scenes.

Jon, who hasn't set his foot inside the walls of the Westerosi capital King's Landing, is spotted filming at Minceta Tower, a Dubrovnik location which is never seen as King's Landing. The King in the North, who was revealed to be Aegon Targaryen in season 7 finale, looks tense as the unexpected meeting between him and Cersei takes place.

Meanwhile, Cersei appears on the third day of filming, donning a new queenly outfit. Her new costume features the Lannister gold accents around the shoulders. She also wears a gold long necklace with a big matching pendant. She can be seen filming something while standing in front of a window.

The two are joined by two armed Kingsguards who stand behind the wall. Also present on the set is Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane, played by Hafpor Bjornsson. A big Lannister flag can be seen flying over King's Landing.

David Nutter, who is tapped to direct episode 1, 2 and 4 of season 8, is spotted on the filming set, meaning that the scene will be from one of those episodes. Since season 7 ended with Jon and Dany heading for Winterfell, many assume that the meeting probably happens in episode 4.

Furthermore, it is speculated that Jon is actually held captive by Cersei. Some also add that the Queen may be the one who sets fire at Winterfell and captures Jon in the process. As for why they film the scene in front of an open window despite the show's secrecy, it is believed that Cersei and Jon are staring at either Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) dragons or the army of the dead who is marching to the south and may reach King's Landing anytime soon.

The eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" is set to arrive in 2019.
