AceShowbiz - The official wedding date for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has been revealed. Kensington Palace announced on its Twitter account on Friday morning, December 15 that the highly-anticipated nuptials would take place on May 19, 2018.
"His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018," it wrote alongside a photo of the 33-year-old prince and his soon-to-be bride during a photo call late last month. "Today's announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle."

The wedding date is seemingly an intriguing choice since it's the same day as the soccer showdown at London's Wembley Stadium. Harry's older brother Prince William, who is expected to be the best man at the nuptials, may be having a little problem with his schedule on that day. A president of the Football Association, the Duke of Cambridge is expected to attend the match.
In related news, it is said that Meghan has a special plan for her wedding gown, which is rumored to cost around $50,000. "Meghan is huge into fashion and she is having a lot of fun coming up with the perfect wedding gown," a source says to HollywoodLife.com. "Meghan has been thinking of creative ways to incorporate Harry's late mother Diana's memory into the most important day of their life and so she has been in talks with Elizabeth Emanuel, Diana's wedding dress designer."
The insider adds that the former "Suits" actress "loves timeless, romantic and simple designs so she is also considering her dear friend, designer Misha Nonoo, who helped introduce her to Harry, for a dress for her big day." The insider continues saying, "Meghan is loving the whole process of putting together her wedding gown and her dress will likely be kept a secret right up until the big day."
After 18-month relationship, Prince Harry and the 36-year-old beauty announced their engagement on November 27. Gushing over how Harry proposed to her, Meghan said during their first joint interview, "Just an amazing surprise. It was so sweet, natural and very romantic. He got on one knee."
