The third 'Avengers' film racked up 230 million views in 24 hours, setting a new record for the most trailer views in a single day and dethroning the previous title holder, Warner Bros.'s 'It'.

AceShowbiz - Following its premiere on Wednesday morning, November 29, the first trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" has been announced as the most-watched trailer of all time. Marvel Studios has announced that the trailer racked up 230 million views in 24 hours, setting a new record for the most trailer views in a single day.

The "Infinity War" trailer's record viewership dethrones the previous title holder, "It", which teaser trailer was watched 197 million times in 24 hours after it was released by Warner Bros. earlier this year.

Additionally, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the the "Infinity War" trailer is the most talked-about first trailer for a movie ever with 1,147,438 new mentions within the first seven hours of release. The site has also revealed the five most talked-about moments from the trailer, and Captain America's (Chris Evans) new beard won the top spot with more than 20,474 mentions on Twitter.

Following the beard came Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) newly-developed Spidey sense (6,100 mentions), the Guardians of the Galaxy appearing at the end of the trailer (5,497 mentions), Black Panther's (Chadwick Boseman) "Get this man a shield" line (2,180 mentions), and the team running together at the end of the trailer (2,108 mentions).

"Infinity War" will hit U.S. theaters next year on May 4. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the third "Avengers" movie also stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Sean Gunn, Paul Rudd and Josh Brolin, the latter of whom portrays the big bad Thanos.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Infinity War" brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
