The 'Charmed' alum was arrested in Virginia on Tuesday in relation to a warrant issued in February for felony possession of a controlled substance, but has been released on a $5,000 bond.

AceShowbiz - Rose McGowan was arrested in relation to a warrant issued for felony possession of a controlled substance. She turned herself in Loudoun County, Virginia on Tuesday, November 14, was arrested and booked before being released on a $5,000 bond, according to the Loudoun County Sherrifs Office.

"Ms. McGowan appeared in Loudoun County, Virginia, on November 14, 2017, to accept service of the Airports Authority Police arrest warrant, and she was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond," says a spokesperson for the department.

The case stemmed from a police investigation of personal belongings she left behind at Washington Dulles International Airport after she arrived on a flight from Los Angeles on January 20. Police said the items tested positive for narcotics.

"Her personal belongings that were left behind from a flight arriving on Jan. 20 tested positive for narcotics," said Rob Yingling, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department. "Our police have attempted to contact Ms. McGowan so that she can appear in a Loudoun County Virginia court to respond to the charge."

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department obtained the warrant on February 1.

The arrest comes on the heels of McGowan coming forward with claim that Harvey Weinstein had raped her in 1997. She had initially reached a $100,000 settlement with the disgraced movie mogul, but realized that her settlement did not include a confidentiality clause. She was offered $1 million in exchange for signing a nondisclosure agreement, but turned it down.

Following the release of the arrest warrant, she seemingly suggested that it was another attempt to silence her as she has been speaking out about Harvey Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct. She tweeted on October 30, "Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSES**T."

She also took to Twitter on Tuesday to address her mood after the arrest. She posted a GIF featuring a female character who looks bad ass as she stares at the burning wreckage.
