Shakira is rumored to call it quits with her baby daddy Gerard Pique. The 40-year-old Colombian singer and the 30-year-old Spanish soccer player are hit with breakup rumors after six years together.
"It's something serious and she has been the one who has finally made the decision," a source told Spanish website Cotilleo, adding that she "could no longer cope with the situation." The singer has reportedly moved out of the house they shared in Barcelona.
The split rumors came amid the backlash faced by Gerard for supporting Catalan independence from Spain. The athlete who plays as a centre-back for FC Barcelona and the Spain national team was booed by Spanish soccer fans on Monday, October 2 over his support for the Catalan referendum.
Shakira and Gerard Pique first met on the set of her "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" music video for 2010 FIFA World Cup. They started dating in 2011 after her split from Antonio de la Rua. The couple shares two sons Milan, 4, and Sasha, 2.
The couple was last seen together in June when they attended the wedding of Gerard's former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi to childhood sweetheart Antonella Roccuzzo in Argentina.
Neither commented on the split rumors, but Gerard seemed to seemed to dispell the rumors by re-tweeting a clip of his baby mama singing and stumming a guitar. "A little pause in my day to sing a love song!" she wrote. Her beau showed love with a series of kissy-face emojis. In addition, an insider told Us Weekly, "They have 100 percent not split."

Back in 2014, Shakira said she wanted a big family with her boyfriend. She also praised him for being her "biggest support" when it came to raising their two kids. "When I get stressed about how to organise things or juggle it all, he helps put it all in perspective," she said in an interview. "We're both very hands-on parents, so it never feels like one is carrying the entire load on their own. He probably lets them have a little more chocolate than I'd like, though."
