Hawkeye is reportedly taking up a new mantle in the upcoming fourth installment of "The Avengers". Clint Barton will reportedly ditch his old alter ego to become a masterless samurai warrior or better known as Ronin.

According to MCU Exchange, a tragic event in "Avengers: Infinity War" will leave Barton in a very dark place. This will lead him into adopting the darker superhero mantle in the sequel which is due May 3, 2019 in the United States.

The Ronin rumor comes a month after the Hawkeye depicter Jeremy Renner was seen sporting a new haircut on the set of "Avengers 4". He's not the only one getting a new look. Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow has gone blonde while Chris Evans' Steve Rogers has grown a beard.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the fourth film will see Josh Brolin returning as Thanos. Robert Downey Jr. is also back as Iron Man, Gwyneth Paltrow as his secretary Pepper Potts, and Jon Favreau as his assistant. Mark Ruffalo returns as Hulk as well.

Rumor has it, Earth's Mightiest Heroes will also be joined by Tom Holland who reprises his role as Spider-Man, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange.

In the meantime, Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue with "Thor Ragnarok" on November 3 this year, "Black Panther" on February 16, 2018, "Infinity War" on May 4, 2018, and "Captain Marvel" March 8, 2019.

Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana's Gamora, Dave Bautista's Drax, Bradley Cooper's Rocket Raccoon, and Vin Diesel's Groot will cross path with The Avengers for the first time in "Infinity War". Then, the galactical ragtag group will continue their own adventure in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3". It is expected to set up 10 or 20 years of the next Marvel movies. It is rumored to come out in 2020.
