Fans seemingly want to make sure that the 'Giver' actor will be able to back up Dick Grayson's well-known assets should the character don Nightwing's costume on the upcoming series.

AceShowbiz - Fans are particularly brutal when it comes to superhero casting news. In the wake of Brenton Thwaites' casting last week as Dick Grayson on "Titans", fans, especially those of Nightwing, are eager to check whether the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" actor's derriere is living up to the expectations set by the comic book character, who is known for having a nice rear end.

Google Trends graphics indicate that the search for photos of Brenton's butt are significantly ascending after his casting was announced. It shows that fans want to know whether "The Giver" star will be able to back up one of the character's most important features.

Brenton is not the only cast member who faces fans' critical judging. Prior to this, Anna Diop received backlash after she was announced as Starfire on "Titans".

It remains to be seen whether Brendon will actually don the costume of Nightwing on Titans, since the announcement of his casting specified he'd still be working under the mantle of Robin, Batman's sidekick. If anything, it is less likely for "Titans" to introduce Nightwing although comic book fans know that Dick Grayson eventually grows out of the Robin role and transforms into his superhero persona, Nightwing. It is because Warner Bros. is now developing a solo Nightwing movie. Should Nightwing be featured on "Titans", it will spark confusion for fans.

Released as a part of a DC-branded digital service which will be launched in 2018, "Titans" will also star Teagan Croft as Raven. Rumor has it that Beast Boy will also join the superhero team. Greg Berlanti, the mastermind behind numerous DC shows like "Arrow", "The Flash", "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl", will shepherd the project.

While release date hasn't been announced, "Titans" is slated to kick off production in September in Atlanta, Georgia.
