Star City will be getting a new bad guy when "Arrow" returns for season 6 this fall. The series has cast Kirk Acevedo ("Fringe", "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.") as Ricardo Diaz a.k.a. DC Comics villain Richard Dragon.

Ricardo is one of the identities which Richard takes on. According to Deadline, Ricardo is described as "a hardened ex-con released from prison for crimes he didn't commit." He is later "bent on taking over Star City's criminal underworld." He is "a master in hand-to-hand combat, honed by years of life on the street," who "has yet to meet a foe he can't take down."

The arrival of Richard Dragon previously was teased by executive producer Marc Guggenheim during the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con. "You know, what I really like about our interpretation of Richard is, he's very grounded. He's not a flamboyant big bad, he doesn't wear a costume, he really is a crimelord sort of in the Tobias Church model," he said at that time.

Richard, however, won't be the only villain which the Emerald Archer has to face in the upcoming season. It was previously reported that Michael Emerson was tapped to play an unknown but villainous character. In addition to Richard and Michael's character, season 6 will see the return of David Nykl's Anatoly Knyazev as the season is poised to be having multiple recurring villains.

"Arrow" season 6 kicks off on Thursday, October 12 at 9 P.M. on The CW.
