Following her divorce from Blake Shelton back in 2015, Miranda Lambert poured her heart on her latest album "The Weight of These Wings". It obviously wasn't easy for her, but the 33-year-old country singer unexpectedly admitted that she enjoyed its recording process in a recent interview. It seemed like the album helped her cope with the heartbreak and go through the painful split.
"I really enjoyed the process of this last record called 'The Weight of These Wings', because I took my time on it and I spent over a year writing for it," she told BuzzFeed. "I sort of got to explore my songwriting in a different way than I ever have before."
Her heartbreak was eventually paid off. "The Weight of These Wings" landed atop country music charts, and its lead single "Vice" was constantly on radio last summer and fall. However, Miranda's latest studio effort apparently concerned her ex-husband. Blake was reportedly terrified Miranda would always sing about him.
"Blake is relieved to have moved on from the most challenging time in his life, but he also worries that Miranda has enough material to write several more albums about their time together," a source previously said. "Blake is hoping that Miranda finds new inspiration for her music and that she doesn't spend the rest of her life singing about him."
Almost two years since the split, both Miranda and Blake have now happily moved on from each other. Miranda has been dating Anderson East for a year and a half now, while Blake is happily in relationship with his fellow judge on "The Voice", Gwen Stefani.
