You won't recognize Lena Dunham with her new haircut. The creator of "Girls" took to Instagram on Monday, June 19 to unveil the surprising new look. Sporting a sweater and statement earrings, Lena looked chic as she showed off her super short and spiky hair while looking lazily at the camera. She jokingly captioned the snap, "Your mom's therapist friend she leaves your dad for."
She then shared another photo which saw a huge chop of her brown locks. She wrote in the caption, "Didn't make it to Locks of Love length but if y'all are considering a cut and have a 10 in pony tail I urge you." She added hashtag #creepyponytailtimes.
Short haircut has seemed to be a thing this year. Before Lena, a number of celebrities chopped their long locks to have a fresh look. Zoe Kravitz, Katy Perry, Cara Delevingne and Keke Palmer are some of those who have contributed to the trend.
Moreover, Lena has always been experimental with her look. The 31-year-old actress doesn't seem to care with what people say about her appearance. She recently posted on Instagram a racy snap of her naked body to raise awareness of body image positivity. She bared all in the picture, covering her breasts and crotch only with pear and honey-pot emojis.
