Blake's 41st birthday, which falls on Father's Day, allegedly makes the No Doubt frontwoman 'a little emotional' since it reminds her of her ex-husband, who's still the father of her children.

Gwen Stefani is supposed to be excited for Blake Shelton's birthday on June 18, but she reportedly has mixed feelings about it. Blake's 41st birthday, which lands on Father's Day, is said to be making Gwen think about her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale.
"Gwen is having some varied emotions this year when it comes to Blake's birthday since it lands on Father's Day," a source tells HollywoodLife.com. "Father's Day reminds her of Gavin [Rossdale]," the source shares, before adding that her heart still aches when thinking about Gavin.
"So as much as she wants to celebrate Blake's birthday, she also has to think of Gavin that day and it's a little weird and gets her to be a little emotional," the source continues. "But Blake is taking things as they come with humor. He respects Gavin as the father of her kids and knows he will be in the picture forever so he is okay with Gwen's feelings and will do his best to make her not worry about it as much."
However, it doesn't mean that Father's Day only makes the "Hollaback Girl" songstress think about her failed marriage. "[Father's Day] also reminds her of the family she is starting with Blake because he is now getting into the role of step dad even with them not being officially married," the source says.
Gwen and Blake have been together for a year and a half. The couple was believed to be wanting to stay together forever without getting married. "One thing they often bring up is how they could be the modern-day Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and be together forever but never get married," an insider revealed.
