The CW reportedly has booked Calista Flockhart to return as Cat Grant in two final episodes of "Supergirl" season 2 which will air on May 15 and May 22 on the network respectively. Calista's return comes on the heels of the news that Tyler Hoechlin will be suiting back up as Superman for "Supergirl" season finale.

The show's producers previously revealed that the production team had indeed been wanting to set Calista's return for season 2, since Calista used to be a series regular during the first season. "We're still trying to work out her schedule," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said at the time. He added that the team hoped to have Calista back for "as many [episodes] as we can get."

Calista's Cat was last seen in the second episode of "Supergirl" season 2, before the actress bid everyone in CatCo adieu to find new challenges for her. Any further detail about Cat's return remains tightly under wraps. Fans, however, assume that she may finally learn Kara's big secret or she will be trying to hide her real identity from her ex-boss while battling this season's big bads.

"Supergirl" stars Melissa Benoist as Kara/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James 'Jimmy' Olsen, Chris Wood as Mon-El and Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor. Also starring on the series are Chyler Leigh as Alexandra 'Alex' Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow 'Winn' Schott and David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter.

Currently on hiatus, "Supergirl" season 2 returns on April 24 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
