Lifetime has rounded out the main cast of its Menendez brothers movie. "Glee" alum Myko Olivier and "Younger" star Nico Tortorella have been tapped to take the lead roles, playing Lyle Menendez and his younger brother Erik Menendez, respectively.

The new additions join Courtney Love, who will play Kitty Menendez, the mother of Menendez brothers. Veteran actor Benito Martinez is also added to the cast to play the Menendez family patriarch, Jose Menendez.

"Menendez: Blood Brothers" will be based on a true event of the 1989 murders of husband and wife named Jose and Kitty Menendez at the hands of their own sons, Lyle and Erik. The Menendez brothers aroused the investigators' suspicion after they spent their inheritance lavishly in the months following their parents' deaths. The younger brother couldn't handle the guilt and eventually confessed his wrongdoing to his psychologist, leading police to arrest him and his older brother, Lyle.

During their Los Angeles trial, the brothers made a shocking testimony as they said that a lifetime of sexual abuse by their father was the reason behind the murders of their wealthy parents. They were sentenced to life imprisonment without parole in separated prisons to date.

Myko Olivier's credits include "Awkward" and "Deidra & Laney Rob a Train". Meanwhile, Nico Tortorella previously starred on "The Following" and "Eye Candy".

Lifetime's original movie is expected to begin production this month in Vancouver. Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato will serve as directors.

Apparently, NBC is also interested in bringing the murder case to the small screen. Teaming up with Dick Wolf, the network is planning to make an eight-episode anthology series about the Menendez brothers titled "Law & Order: True Crime - The Menendez Brothers".
