The Recording Academy turns the 'Bad Blood' singer's 2016 Album of the Year speech into a promotional ad with young girls reciting Swift's lines.

AceShowbiz - The Recording Academy released a commercial ad for the 2017 Grammy Awards on Tuesday, January 31, on YouTube. The ad garnered a lot of attention for paying homage to Taylor Swift's Album of the Year speech from last year's ceremony.

The video is titled "It Was You" and shows young girls reciting Swift's infamous speech. They take turn to say Swift's lines while doing activities related to art and music, such as dancing, preparing for musical and playing a piano. It starts with a girl wearing a white fur dress and a mask checking herself in the mirror while reciting the first line of Swift's acceptance speech before moving to the other girls. The video ends with an old clip of Swift saying the last line of her speech.

"I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world," recite the girls in the video.

An executive from The Recording Academy says in a statement saying that the ad was made to "help women feel empowered." The statement reads, "Although most of the spots carry the message with humor, as a father of two young girls, it was important to me to also create something that would speak specifically to them -and all women- using music's inspirational language to help them feel empowered."

Swift's speech made headlines last year for publicly targeting Kanye West, who put her name in one of his songs, "Famous". West sang, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ I made that b***h famous," which offended Swift and led to another feud between the two stars.

The Recording Academy just updated Grammys' star-studded performer list as it added The Weeknd, who will perform with Daft Punk, and Maren Morris, who will perform with Alicia Keys. Those names joined Adele, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban who were previously announced to hit the 2017 Grammy Awards' stage.

Hosted by James Corden, the 59th annual Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center, Los Angeles on February 12 on CBS starting at 8 P.M.
