The 'Blurred Lines' hitmaker is being investigated by the DCFS over allegations he physically abused his and Paula's 6-year-old son Julian.

AceShowbiz - Robin Thicke is facing child abuse allegations in a nasty custody battle against ex Paula Patton. The 'Blurred Lines' hitmaker is reportedly being investigated by the DCFS over allegations he physically abused their 6-year-old son Julian.

Julian allegedly told school officials earlier this month that his father spanked him more than once. The school reported the incident to the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services on January 3, and the DCFS has since opened an investigation, according to TMZ.

Paula began denying Robin's access to Julian and asked a judge to limit his joint custody to monitored daytime visits only. Paula told Robin in her complaint, "Julian is scared of you." A school official also submitted a declaration saying Robin frequently "punches" Julian very hard.

To make it even worse, Julian's nanny claimed in her declaration that she saw Robin smoked marijuana in front of his son on several occasions. According to Paula, Robin showed up drunk at Julian's kindergarten graduation last June and was "hooting and hollering and making inappropriate jokes" in the Catholic church.

Robin later defended himself against the allegations, writing in his own court documents, "On a very rare occasion and only as a last resort, I will use light spanking, but it is consistent with the law - open hand on the butt. This is the type of discipline to which Paula and I agreed during our marriage."

Robin believed Paula tried to get revenge on him after he blocked her from attending his dad Alan Thicke's funeral last month. "Paula did not have a positive relationship with my father and often made negative comments to me about my father. As such, she was not welcome at his funeral," he said.

During a hearing on Thursday, January 12, the judge denied Paula's request to limit Robin's joint custody and also a request for drug testing. Robin, Paula and Julian were all interviewed by the DCFS. The investigation is still ongoing.
