The 'Dancing with the Stars' couple are proud parents to a healthy baby boy, Shai Alexander Chmerkovskiy, born December 4.

It's a boy for Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd. The "Dancing with the Stars" pro and his fiancee welcomed a bouncing baby boy on Wednesday, January 4. The new dad proudly announces the baby's name, "Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy." He added in a statement, "This is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us!"

Chmerkovskiy took Murgatroyd to hospital in the early morning. Although anxious, the dancer managed to crack up sharing a pic of his baby mama applying mascara while lying on a bed and wearing a hospital gown. "But first...a little make up," so he joked.
The baby is the first child for both of them. They got engaged in December 2015 after he proposed to her on stage during "Sway: A Dance Trilogy" in Miami, Florida. Chmerkovskiy was once engaged to "DWTS" cast Karina Smirnoff and Murgatroyd dated "DWTS" alum Damian Whitewood.
