The 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' hitmaker breaks her silence over her feud with Dick Clark Production, saying that 'it will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team.'

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey addresses her feud with Dick Clark Production over her botched performance at "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest". In a new interview, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker says she was "mortified" by her onstage snafu.

"All I can say is Dick Clark was an incredible person and I was lucky enough to work with him when I first started in the music business," Mariah tells EW, "I'm of the opinion that Dick Clark would not have let an artist go through that and he would have been as mortified as I was in real time."

When asked if the lip sync disaster has left her wary of agreeing to perform on live television ever again, she replies, "It's not going to stop me from doing a live event in the future. But it will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team."

She adds, "My true fans have been so supportive and I am so appreciative of them and everybody in the media that came out to support me after the fact because it really was an incredible holiday season that turned into a horrible New Year's Eve."

Mariah is getting ready for her upcoming 35-date "All the Hits" tour with Lionel Richie. "I'm excited about my upcoming tour with Lionel Richie, who everybody loves, and I am doing so many of my hits for the fans and a few surprises too. It will be a great night to come see us with great music; beautiful ballads and so much love and fun."

Following her botched NYE performance, Mariah's manager Stella Bulochnikov sent a letter to DCP, claiming they "sabotaged" the diva's show for ratings. DCP later hit back at Mariah's team, alleging her onstage snafu was due to a lack of rehearsal. A rep for the "We Belong Together" singer later denied it.

Jenny McCarthy shares her opinion on Mariah's ongoing feud with DCP during her SiriusXM show. Jenny first offers sympathy to Mariah over her botched NYE show, but she later blasts the "Heartbreaker" songstress over her allegations against DCP.

"I felt really bad for her, because it was that bad," Jenny says on "The Jenny McCarthy Show", "It was a complete train wreck. And like Donnie [Wahlberg] said, being in this business, I know what it's like to have your prompter go out. I know what it's like to have my inner ears go out. It's scary, and it's like your brain malfunctions and you're on live TV. So I was like, you know what, I have sympathy for her. My sympathy stopped, however, the moment she accused Dick Clark Productions of sabotaging her performance."

"If Dick Clark were alive today, I guarantee he would be on air right now fighting back. He's not, so I'm going to," she continues, "Dick Clark Productions has been doing this show for 45 years...I've never seen a production company, like Donnie said, more prepared, more supportive of their musical guests, so for her to defame them was so incredibly insulting for the group of people who work their balls off preparing and rehearsing for their musical guests."

"The truth of the matter is Mariah didn't do a sound check. She did whatever you would call a like dance move rehearsal holding her gold microphone, and she stood off to the side of the stage while she had a stand-in do a sound check," adds the former "The View" co-host.

Jenny's husband Donnie Wahlberg says, "The buck stops with the artist. If you're gonna be a boss or you're gonna be a diva, then you know, again it's your name, your face and your legacy on the line. So you leave something to someone else, you have no one to blame but yourself. The music track, missing a vocal, that's on her. No rehearsal, that's on her."

"And to blame Dick Clark Productions and Ryan Seacrest by default who is an executive producer, too-these people have made their career on love of music and artists and respect for music and artists," he continues, "Dick Clark built his whole empire on music and artists and performances. Those guys make you rehearse, and rehearse and rehearse. I heard Gloria Estefan out there rehearsing. I heard last year Demi Lovato 10 times rehearsing."

"I was there for the past seven years watching band after band," Jenny adds, "Taylor Swift rehearsing her balls off. Like I said, we rehearsed for four days, 10 hours a day. We have more sound checks, satellite checks, teleprompter checks, than any show down there. I promise you that."
