AceShowbiz - Nobody apparently wants to be Justin Bieber's neighbor. Every December, online real estate marketplace Zillows asks American adults which celebrities they would like to have as their neighbor and with whom they wouldn't want to share a fence. It turns out that the Canadian heartthrob tops the list of most undesirable celebrity neighbors in 2016.
Bieber previously topped the list back in 2014. But this year, he earns the highest percentage of votes in the survey's history. One in three participants (36 percent) found Bieber to be the worst neighbor and he was particularly disliked among male voters (39 percent)
There are particular reasons why respondents wouldn't want to share a fence with Bieber. In 2014, the "Sorry" hitmaker allegedly egged a neighbor's house and ended up paying $80,000 to settle the vandalism charge.
Meanwhile, on-and-off couple Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna come in the second place with 23 percent of the vote, followed by Tom Cruise, Taylor Swift and Tom Brady.
As for the most desirable neighbor for 2017, President Barack Obama and his family take the No. 1 spot. About 14 percent respondents say they'd like to live next to the Obamas, who will move into another home in Washington, D.C., located about two miles from the White House. The 8,200-square-foot house features 9 bedrooms, lots of land, a spacious patio and a bright kitchen among other amenities the Obamas are expected to enjoy.
Actor and former professional wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson closely follows in the second place with 13 percent, while Adele and Taylor Swift come in the fifth and sixth place respectively with 6 percent each. Interestingly, Taylor is voted as the most and least desirable neighbor.
Jeremy Wacksman, Zillow chief marketing officer, said in a statement, "Maybe it's the additional neighborhood security or the possibility of running into other influential and famous people, but it's clear people are intrigued by the idea of living next to the First Family." He added, "On the other hand, Justin Bieber continues to stir up trouble everywhere he goes and would likely be an unpredictable neighbor."
The results come from a survey conducted between December 8 and 9 on behalf of real estate site Zillow. The poll used a sample of 1,000 adults in the U.S., age 18 and over.
