Warner Bros.' "Tomb Raider" remake has found its villain in Walton Goggins. Variety brings the words that the Billy Crash of 2012's "Django Unchained" is set to take a villainous role in the upcoming game-based movie, antagonizing iconic character Lara Croft who will be played by Alicia Vikander.

The untitled Tomb Raider reboot will be directed by Roar Uthaug from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Set to hit U.S. theaters on March 16, 2018, it follows Lara Croft who sets out on her first expedition to finish her father's archaeological research and uncovers ancient secrets in order to clear his disgraced name. Tragedy hits when her adventure turns into a fight for survival.

The popular "Tomb Raider" video game was adapted into the big screen twice by Paramount. Titled "Lara Croft: Tom Raider" and "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life", both movies starred Angelina Jolie as the British archaeologist. The movies were released in 2001 and 2003, and grossed over $400 million worldwide.

Goggins was most recently seen in Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell and Tim Roth. The 45-year-old actor just wrapped up filming for television series "Six", which will premiere next year.
