Alicia Keys held a surprise concert in New York's Times Square on Sunday night, October 9. She brought out Jay-Z to perform their 2009 hit "Empire State of Mind". The show was free to Tidal subscribers.
Some fans shared on Twitter videos and photos from Alicia and Jay-Z's performance. Alicia was make-up free, wearing a black turtleneck top paired with high-waist trousers. Jay-Z, meanwhile, sported a black top and pants paired with a khaki jacket, a black hat and sunglasses.

Previously, Alicia teased her surprise concert on Twitter and Instagram. The "If Ain't Got You" hitmaker shared two clips from her rehearsal. "Givin' it 100[points] in rehearsals so we can make magic Sunday night!! #HEREinTimesSquare," she wrote on Saturday, "I'm in that Empire State of Mind! See you tomorrow #HEREinTimesSquare."

Jay-Z, meanwhile, recently joined his wife Beyonce Knowles at her final "Formation World Tour" show on October 7 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The couple performed their hit song "Drunk in Love".
