AceShowbiz - Alicia Keys landed in hot water over one question. On Wednesday, August 28, DJ R-Tistic took to his social media accounts to call out the R&B singer after she recently questioned what DJs "actually do" when they helped singers promote their songs.

Slamming Alicia, DJ R-Tistic claimed that he was not paid for playing her song on Instagram Live. "All I know is her label offered me a few hundred to play her song, and then never paid me after I played it," so he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The DJ further doubled down on his remark in a comment underneath The Jasmine Brand's Instagram post regarding the matter. "It was her label at the time, RCA. Via professional e-mail. Someone from their team offered to pay me to play a remix of one of her songs while I live streamed on IG, second week of the pandemic, when we were locked inside. I played it, and the label rep went ghost on the followup," he explained.

DJ Quicksilva also weighed in on the debate. "Is this a click bait question she's asking for attention ????" he said. "I need to invite her out to @spinconference so she can see what DJs really do."

Alicia's question also didn't sit well with Internet users. "Alicia should have kept this conversation in the group chat," one said. "Her husband a whole DJ though," another commented, referring to the "Girl on Fire" singer's husband Swizzbeatz.

"Uhhhhhh she should ask Swizz cause he used to DJ before he took off with producing," one other added. "She couldn't ask her husband?" another echoed.

Meanwhile, a critic wrote, "I don't know what or who posessed Alicia to ask that question but...No ma." However, someone defended Alicia, suggesting that she wasn't serious with the question. "For yall who don't get on Tik tok etc Alicia is recreating a skit. It wasn't a real dig, she wasn't calling anyone out," the person explained.
