Star-Lord May Have 'Sizable Role' in 'Avengers: Infinity War'

The Guardians of the Galaxy leader, who is portrayed by Chris Pratt, will likely play a much bigger role than expected throughout the film.

AceShowbiz - "Avengers: Infinity War" is not coming to theaters until 2018, but a new report has emerged saying that one particular character will likely have a "sizable role" throughout the film. Schmoes Know brings the words that Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord will play a much bigger role than expected in the third installment of "The Avengers" movie series.

According to sources, the Guardians of the Galaxy leader, who is portrayed by Chris Pratt, is a "major player" when the Guardians and the Avengers team up to defeat the Mad Titan Thanos. The site adds that Star-Lord will be the first of the Guardians to appear in the movie which will take place after the event of "Captain America: Civil War".

No official plot details are available as of now, but it's been confirmed that Pratt will be joined by the other core cast of the Guardians which include Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Elizabeth Olsen are set to reprise their respective roles as the Avengers.

"Avengers: Infinity War" will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo from a script by "Captain America" scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Production on Marvel's upcoming superhero film is expected to kick off next month for a May 4, 2018 release in U.S. theaters. The fourth installment of the film series will follow on May 3, 2019.
