Universal has reported that it's been viewed online 114 million times in the first 24 hours, breaking the previous record set by "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer, which had 112 million viewers in its first day.

In the U.S., the trailer for the follow-up to "Fifty Shades of Grey" was watched 39.4 times across all digital platforms, including YouTube and Facebook. Meanwhile, the remaining 74.6 million came from more than 30 international markets, including the U.K. (18.9 million views), Brazil (12.4 million), France (9.8 million), Mexico (6.8 million) and Italy (6 million).
