AceShowbiz - "Star Wars" alum Jimmy Smits has confirmed that he will appear in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story". Starring as Senator Bail Organa, who was also Princess Leia's adoptive father, in "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" and "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith", he will reprise his role in the upcoming stand-alone movie.

Bail died in "A New Hope", but he will appear in "Rogue One" as it takes place between the events of "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope". In an interview on "The Talk", he said, "People got nothing better to do then to look at these little things? There's stuff going on in the world!" He added, "Can you say the word 'cameo'? Can you say the words 'small part'?"

The actor apparently appeared in full Bail Organa suit in "Star Wars" Celebrations reel which was published recently. He was talking to Genevieve O'Reilly's Mon Mothma in the footage, but viewers couldn't notice his appearance as his face was mostly hidden behind a camera.
