Zack Snyder Admits 'Justice League' Changes Are Caused by 'Batman v Superman' Criticisms
Movie

The 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' director opens up on the real reason behind the changes he makes for the upcoming DC superhero team-up movie.

Zack Snyder hears you! The director has been listening to what fans said about the latest DC movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and he uses the information to make a better film for the next installment "Justice League".

"When Batman v Superman came out, I was like, 'Wow, okay, oof,' " he told Vulture. "It did catch me off guard. I have had to, in my mind, make an adjustment. I do think that the tone of Justice League has changed because of what the fans have said."

Although the filmmaker decides to give the upcoming superhero team-up a lighter tone, he still defends his vision for "Batman v Superman". He explained, "You really had to dig down on the darker parts of them to make them fight each other."

"I really do believe that with this movie, with Justice League, they've been freed of the responsibility to be in a place where they would fight each other. That's liberating for us in making the movie, because now we have a single enemy with a single objective, and it's really about uniting the team. That, to me, is a fun activity."

The movie was initially split into two parts but it is now one standalone movie. It is due November 17, 2017. It will follow the League on a quest to find three Mother Boxes on Earth, Atlantis and Themyscira. "Game of Thrones" star Kristofer Hivju will reportedly play an ancient Atlantean king who may possess one of the Mother Boxes. Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller will star as the DC heroes.
