Johnny Depp has just got another supporter in his battle against his estranged wife Amber Heard. The "Black Mass" actor's assistant Stephen Deuters has clarified that text messages, which detailed the actor's alleged assault, are fake.

Stephen insists that the recently-leaked text messages, which allegedly showed a conversation between him and Amber, were "heavily doctored." He tells TMZ that he never said Johnny attacked Amber and he doesn't even have knowledge of the actor being verbally and physically abusive towards his wife.

Stephen adds that "Johnny has never been violent toward anyone he knows." The assistant also says the texts themselves are suspicious because they don't even show a date. He is willing to testify under oath that he never had a conversation with Amber about the actor's alleged violent behavior.

The text messages emerged online on Wednesday, June 1. In the text exchange, a sender purported to be Stephen apologized to Amber on behalf of the actor, who was said to have kicked the actress. One text message allegedly sent by Stephen read, "When I told him he kicked you, he cried. It was disgusting. And he knows it."

Another sender believed to be Amber texted back, "He's done this many times before. Tokyo, the island, London (remember that?!), and I always stay. Always believe he's going to get better... And then every 3 or so month [sic], I'm in the exact same position."
