The 'Divergent' actor is tapped to replace Will Poulter as the infamous clown in the upcoming remake to be directed by Andres Muschietti.

AceShowbiz - Will Poulter has left the upcoming remake of Stephen King's "It". The "We're the Millers" actor was originally tapped in the role of Pennywise the Clown, but had to depart due to scheduling conflict. He is now replaced by Bill Skarsgard.
According to Variety, New Line considered to cast an older actor like Hugo Weaving for the iconic role before eventually landing their final pick on the 25-year-old "Divergent" star. The character was played by Tim Curry in the 1990 original miniseries
The original Stephen King novel followed seven children in the Losers Club. Two new movies are reportedly in the works. The first one will focus on the kids and the sequel will follow them into adulthood when they return to their hometown.
Cary Fukunaga ("True Detective") was originally attached to direct the pic, but he has been replaced by "Mama" helmer Andres Muschietti.
