Katy Perry is officially branching out. The 31-year-old singer/songwriter has just launched her own makeup collection, Katy Kat. It's a collaboration project with CoverGirl, the beauty company which she has repped since 2013.

"After several wonderful years of BEING the face, I now get to CREATE the face!" so the pop star announced her new venture to fans on Twitter. Her beauty line that includes lipstick and mascara will hit the stores this summer.

Katy is not the only celebrity announcing a makeup line this year. It seems competition will get pretty tight as her beastie, Rihanna, is also readying her very own Fenty Beauty collection. On top of that, there is Victoria Adams who is teaming up with Estee Lauder for a limited edition of makeup products.
