Jake Gyllenhaal may have starred with a lot of beautiful actresses like Anne Hathaway, Rene Russo, Rachel McAdams, Natalie Portman and Reese Witherspoon, but there's only one co-star who made his heart beat faster. In an interview with PEOPLE, the "Brokeback Mountain" actor admitted that he had a major crush on Jennifer Aniston.

The 35-year-old actor worked alongside the 47-year-old actress in 2002's "The Good Girl" and he shared that it was an unforgettable experience to play her love interest in the film. "She's a rough one. Not likable. So hard to compliment," Gyllenhaal said. "I will say, I had a crush on her for years."

He then explained how it felt like to make the film with Justin Theroux's wife. "And working with her was not easy. I was - um, yeah. That's all I'm going to say. It was lovely. It wasn't hard, that's what I would say," the "Southpaw" star continued.

It's true that Gyllenhaal had been in love with Aniston ever since he saw her on "Friends", but her appearance wasn't the main reason why the actor liked her so much. He revealed that her inner beauty and the way she represented herself had impressed him. "Not so much 'Friends', but kind of her personality from afar, and movies she was in," he explained. "And some of 'Friends' - I'm not a huge 'Friends' fan - but who she is."
