The singer filed a lawsuit alleging that the defendants ignored her plea to stop selling merchandises online referencing her trademarked name.

AceShowbiz - Apparently, Beyonce Knowles is not happy for anything that rhymes with her name being used commercially. The Grammy-winning singer is suing a Texas company for selling several stuff online bearing "Feyonce" name.

The complaint, which was filed on Tuesday, April 5 at Manhattan federal court, alleged that "Feyonce" was too close to Beyonce's trademarked name. The "Me, Myself and I" crooner accused Feyonce Inc. and three individuals from San Antonio for selling clothing merchandise, coffee mugs and more bearing the same name.

Beyonce's team also pointed at a particular mug that read, "He put a ring on it." Beyonce has a hit single titled "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", thus the resemblance. The lawsuit stated that the three parties "brazenly" sell infringing "Feyonce" merchandise on their website.

Beyonce doesn't endorse the products which confuse consumers and cause her irreparable harm. She had warned the company to stop selling but they denied her request. According to Reuters, defendant Andre Maurice even filed two U.S. trademark applications for "Feyonce", with and without the accent over the "e."

Beyonce's lawsuit said, "Defendants adopted the Feyonce mark to call to mind Beyonce and her famous song. Defendants' conduct described herein is intentional, fraudulent, malicious, willful and wanton." She is seeking unspecified damages.
