Despite their age difference, it's not casual dating. Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole are very much in love, according to a very reliable source by the name of Simon Cowell.
Like the rest of the world, Cowell was stunned when reports about his 32-year-old "The X-Factor" co-judge and his 22-year-old One Direction protege dating surfaced. But the TV mogul overcame his doubt once he had dinner with them in Hollywood last month.
"I saw them together and we had a really nice dinner. They were on good form. They're like two little chipmunks madly in love. Literally, they were so cute," Cowell told The Sun. He admitted not having a clue about the romance at first, let alone knowing that Cole has already moved on from her failed marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
"I'm not going to talk about the past," Cowell quipped. "But importantly they both seemed very happy over here and very relaxed. I'm happy for them."
Payne and Cole are yet to officially confirm their relationship but they have posted each other's photos on Instagram. One in particular had them cozying up together inside a car. They have also been spotted dining out together a couple of times in London.
