Shortly after the rapper expressed his desire to 'fix' the Grammys, Recording Academy's Neil Portnow said in a statement, 'Our doors are always open to him.'

AceShowbiz - Kanye West isn't pleased with the Grammys and he makes sure everyone knows it. Fresh off blasting producer Bob Ezrin who criticized his music, the rapper returned to Twitter on Wednesday, February 24 to vent his frustration over the annual awards show, which he really wanted to "fix" for not accurately reflecting the music industry.

"I would like to sit down with Neil Portnow right now," tweeted West, referring to the Recording Academy president. "I think the Grammys are super important!!! I know so many cool artists whose hearts have been broken by the politics including mine. We need to fix this... I feel the Grammy awarding system is way off and completely out of touch."

The 38-year-old superstar then called himself the "most important living artist" and listed things he believed were wrong with the awards event. "I don't want to just fix the awards for me but I want to fix it for Dexter Navy who directed A$AP Rocky's 'LSD' video. Everybody with any form of taste knows that was the best video of the year! Dexter didn't feel he even had a chance of winning and he was right!!! You guys are supposed to be all about taste," he wrote.

"You like your black people a certain way also," he continued and then argued that Future and Young Thug should be part of the Grammys too. "Us real music guys wanna have fun too... We the people need to see Future at the Grammys. We need to see Young Thug at the Grammys. Not just me and [Jay-Z] in a suit," he added.

"Neil please reach out as soon as possible so we can make the Grammys culturally relevant again," he said at one point.

What Kanye West wants is what Kanye West gets. Shortly after, Portnow responded to the Chicago MC's rant via the Grammys official Twitter account. "I'm not on Twitter but just hit me up and let's have that sit down," he wrote.

"Kanye West is a creative pioneer who has been recognized and honored by the Recording Academy time and again," Portnow added in a statement about 'Ye, who has so far been nominated for 57 Grammy Awards and has won 21 of them. "We value his input as a member of the creative community, and our doors are always open to him."

"I continue to welcome Kanye, personally, to engage in a direct and productive dialogue about the future of music and the important role that music creators play in shaping that future," he concluded.
