While accepting her trophy for Best British Female Solo at the Wednesday awards show, the 'Hello' singer said that she would like 'to take this moment to publicly support Kesha.'

AceShowbiz - Adele is the latest addition to the list of celebrities who supported Kesha (fromerly Ke$ha). During her acceptance speech at the Brit Awards 2016, the "Hello" singer declared that she supported the "Tik Tok" singer, who is in the midst of a legal battle against Sony and music producer Dr. Luke, the man she accused of rapping her.

Adele, who accepted her trophy for Best British Female Solo, said, "I'd like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha. Thank you very much." The 27-year-old singer's show of support came after she thanked her "management and my record label for embracing the fact that I'm a woman and being encouraged by it."

Besides Adele, there are two other female celebrities who showed their support for Kesha, whose request to be released from her contract with the producer was recently denied by the judge. Anne Hathaway and Reese Witherspoon took to Instagram to tell fans that they're on Kesha's side. Both stars also thanked Lena Dunham, who recently penned an essay about the "Crazy Kids" singer's legal battle.

Anne uploaded an artwork of Kesha along with a lengthy message that encouraged everyone to support Kesha. "I stand with @iiswhoiis. If you are unfamiliar with the case, @LenaDunham does a brilliant job in this week's @LennyLetter explaining the nightmare in which Kesha finds herself," the 33-year-old actress wrote.

"Kesha's situation is just one of all-too-many examples of how the legal system in this country fails to protect victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence, the vast majority of whom are women. Please regram and add your voice and your support! (Follow the link in my bio.) #FreeKesha," she added.
