Seal is added to the cast ensemble of FOX's live musical production "The Passion" hosted and narrated by Tyler Perry. The singer is tapped to play Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who became the judge of Jesus' trial.

Jencarlos Canela will play Jesus, Chris Daughtry is cast as Judas, Prince Royce is tapped as the disciple Peter, and Trisha Yearwood will portray Mary, the mother of Jesus. Written by Peter Barsocchini ("High School Musical"), the two-hour biblical production will air live from New Orleans on Sunday, March 20.

Based on a Dutch production that has been produced annually since 2011, the live musical is set in modern day. It follows the last hours of Jesus Christ before he was crucified. It will feature a 20-foot, illuminated cross being carried from Champion Square outside the Superdome to the Woldenburg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River.
