The actor and the rapper, who own part of Los Angeles-based water company AQUAhydrate, try to help the city's residents whose water supply was contaminated with lead.

AceShowbiz - There's a huge effort from celebrities to help the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. AQUAhydrate owners Mark Wahlberg and P. Diddy have donated one million of bottled-water to the city's residents whose water supply was contaminated with lead.

Five thousand cases are already en route and are expected to reach the city by Wednesday, January 27. The Los Angeles-based company has also partnered with Eminem and Wiz Khalifa to send donations. "Proud to support efforts of @AQUAhydrate in the million bottle water donation for people in Flint. More to come," the Marshall Matters tweeted.

The city began slashing budgets and drawing water from the Flint River without proper treatment to the outdated pipes in 2014. Complaints of odd smelling water started coming in as children began getting sick due to lead poisoning. "I am devastated by the water crisis that has put the entire city of Flint in a state of emergency," Big Sean, who grew up in nearby Detroit, said in a statement.

Other celebrities who have given either money or donations to the city were Cher, Jimmy Fallon, Meek Mill and rock band Pearl Jam.
