While heading to the stage to accept her trophy, the 'Trainwreck' actress broke her left high heel but she stayed calm as she continued walking to the podium.

AceShowbiz - Amy Schumer knew exactly how to turn an embarrassing situation into a funny moment. She broke her sandal before accepting her trophy at the 21st Critics' Choice Awards, but she managed to handle the situation perfectly.

The 34-year-old comedian was walking onto the stage when she broke her left high heel. However, the incident didn't seem to be a big deal for her as she hilariously turned the moment into a brief comedy.

She took off the broken stiletto and continued walking to the podium. When she accepted the trophy, her left hand still held the broken Manolo Blahnik sandal. After uttering a few words during her acceptance speech, she stopped and gave the sandal to Tracee Ellis Ross off-stage. "Tracee, will you marry me?" she joked while handing the sandal to the "Black-ish" star.

Amy won Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in Judd Apatow's "Trainwreck". She was also honored with the Critics' Choice MVP Award at the Sunday, January 17 ceremony.

The "Inside Amy Schumer" star came to the event along with her boyfriend Ben Hanisch. The two weren't shy to show their affection as they kissed in front of thousands of guests before Amy accepted her trophy. After the event ended, Amy uploaded on Instagram a photo of herself with Ben while thanking critics.

Thank you so much Critics!!!
